The Who: Live in Amsterdam 5th July 2013

I still have to realize it, but guess what? Last month I went to Amsterdam and saw the Who in concert!!! That was the best night of my life, the show was wonderful and so were Roger and Pete!!
So now I guess my life is complete, but I wish I could go to another Who concert. Love Post concert depression reign o'er me now :'(
These are two of the four photos I took, I didn't post the others because they were awful. Also, I decided to focus on the show, so I didn't take more pictures.
Pete said that a DVD of the concert will be released, so I'm very excited and can't wait to get my own copy!

Today I'm not at school (here in Italy today is Liberation Day), so this is a good day to make a blog post. This is not about a specific topic, just some random things I want to share with you.

Happy Birthday to This Blog (and to David Bowie)!

Dear followers, today is a very special day because we celebrate two birthdays:
  • This blog's: I can't believe it's been a year since I started blogging. I must say that it's been very good to me: before I started this blog, I felt quite lonely, because there was no one I could talk about things I like to. Now I'm very happy: I met some cool people who has the same tastes as me and I found out that blogging is really funny and you can learn a lot of new things. Also, it's wonderful when people send me an e-mail or leave a comment saying they like a specific post! Truth be told, when I made this blog I wasn't even sure if I would continue posting: in fact, after two months I didn't know what to write, and since I gained no followers, I was a bit demoralized (I'm very impatient, you know). But then I saw that someone began to follow me and that cheered me up, so I went on! I owe it to all my followers: you are very important to me and this blog wouldn't exist without you. So thank you all!
  • David Bowie's: well, I think that's a nice coincidence! When I made this blog, I didn't know that today was David's birthday and it occured to me when I started writing this post! What if it is a sign of fate? Anyway, I began to listen to David's amazing music last year and I must say that he is one of the greatest artists of all time (and a great style icon, too)! Happy birthday Ziggy Stardust! Or Thin White Duke, if you prefer...
Now, to celebrate here's the most beautiful (and tasty) cake I've ever eaten! It's wonderful, isn't it?

What I Got for Christmas

What I Got for Christmas

So here's what I got for Christmas:
  • A Fiat 500 Purse: I've been in love with that purse since I saw it for the first time two months ago and I couldn't believe that I would received it on Christmas! It's wonderful, isn't it? And anyway, can you think of something more Italian than the Fiat 500?
  • A Who bag: so I'll always be able to bring the best band ever with me.
  • Live at Hull 1970, the Who: Roger Daltrey says that Live at Hull is even better than Live at Leeds! If it is true, that's going to be a really great album!
  • Hunky Dory, David Bowie: I asked my mum if I could have the LP, but unfortunately she said she was only able to find the CD. Well, better than nothing... Another album I'm anxious to listen to!
  • Cigarettes & Housework, Rachel Fuller: actually I ordered it with John Entwistle's t-shirt on Amazon, and unluckily it hasn't arrived yet. Rachel has a very beautiful voice and her songs are fantastic! You must listen to her music!
  • A John Entwistle t-shirt: probably the best t-shirt I've ever had! I also bought one for my dad, because he worships John and he's a bassist, too.
  • A frame: from my friend Anna. Which picture will I put in it? A photo by me? Or maybe an artistic portrait? I don't know...
  • A toiletries set: I love that kind of things, they make you think of a bath tub filled with hot water with a lot of soap bubbles... Is there something more relaxing? But the truth of the matter is: when the hell will I use those? Unluckily I don't have enough time to have a relaxing bath!
  • A pair of red slippers: perfect for keeping your feet warm.
  • A sweatshirt: it doesn't appear in the collage because I couldn't find an image of it. Anyway, it's dark green and has a heart-shaped pocket.
  • A book called Il Bassotto e la Regina (the Basset Hound and the Queen): it's a Christmas story about two dogs. Even if I'm not a child anymore, I still like reading fables and stories! And moreover, it's about dogs, which are my favourite animals.
And what about you? What did you receive for Christmas?

No One Knows What It's Like To Be a Vintage Rock Girl

"They don’t even know what it is to be a fan, y’know? To truly love some silly little piece of music, or some band, so much that it hurts.” - Sapphire (Almost Famous)
Not so long ago I read this post (and another one) on the blog So You Want To Be a Rock'n'Roll Star? and instantly knew that those posts were also about me. I felt like they were written by me. Really. And after reading both of them, I decided to write a post to express my opinion too.
I think nowadays it's not easy at all being a real rock fan (especially if you are a girl). People just exclude you because you are the different one, the girl who listen to that strange and old kind of music. Just because rock girls like me have a relationship with music which is very different from the one our school mates have.

Another Who Creation

This is another Who creation with my nickname written on made by my dear friend Anna as a gift for birthday. It's great, isn't it?

Who Creations

Today I was tidying up my room and found those things I made two years ago at the beginning of my obsession for the Who.

(You Never Forget Your) First Post!

Hi everyone! Finally after many delays I decided to make this blog about the fabulous Sixties. I've always wanted to live in that decade but from this point of view I've been unlucky. With this blog I want to bring the Sixties back to life. So, if you're Sixties lovers I hope you'll enjoy my blog.
